If your aim is to make money from your website then your choice of topic is an important one. The best ways to generate an income from your site is through affiliate programes like google adsense and that requires a constant stream of traffic to your site, so the topic you choose should be one that you have an interest in.

To keep the traffic to your site high your site will have to be updated frequently, keeping your visitors interested enough to keep returning, so choose a topic that you know a lot about or at least one you are passionate about to want to return to.

Again this will require a fair amount of work on your part to keep your site updated but if your looking for that get rich quick scheme you will have to have an amazing idea! It might seem simple to come up with that wonderful idea, create a site, sell it for millions but unfortunately in all reality it's never going to happen overnight.

This is why choosing your topic is most important, if you get bored of it then your visitors also will.

The most successful sites are the ones that take an idea and give it their own slant. Copy is extremely important, well written sites hold their visitors interest for longer.

Network Sites

If your goal is to create the new Facebook or Myspace then unfortunately this is not the best way to make your money on the internet.

Social network sites are extremely hard to create and require programming and technical knowledge that is way past the beginners stage. It is also difficult to build up a substantial and loyal membership.

We would not deter you from creating your network site if you think you have a great idea, time and determination to see it through but make no mistake you will need to outlay a certain amount of money to obtain a quality social network site.

You have probably come across these types of sites yourself, the Get Rich Online sites, there are millions of them. Most do not work and most visitors on the internet know that. It is also not a wise idea choosing a topic you have little to no knowledge on, as stated earlier it is better to choose a topic you know so best to avoid this topic entirely.

 

Start Small

Our advice is to start small choosing a topic you are interested in and build on it, the more you add and the more interesting you make it, you will start to see a flow of traffic which will then bring in money. Once you have learnt from this you can use that knowledge to create bigger sites.
